The NRSEM-2024 is a good opportunity to improve the understanding and implementation of strategies for environmental conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. This conference has several objectives. In addition, the conference aims to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting natural resources and reducing environmental degradation. In addition, the conference enables the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals at local, national and global levels by promoting international cooperation and partnerships.

NRSEM-2024 is the seventh meeting in the series of international conferences on European Environmental Policy and the Case of Cypriot Mines (EEPCCM-2001), Environmental Problems of the Mediterranean (EPMR-2002), Environment: Survival and Sustainability (ESS-2007, ESS-2019) and the fifth and sixth International Conferences on Natural Resources and Sustainable Environmental Management (NRSEM-2021 and NRSEM-2023 respectively), which build on the successful outcomes of the Near East University.
